The ABSA Cape Epic is the world’s most prestigious mountain bike stage race. Held over 8 days, it spans more than 600 km with 15,000 meters of climbing through rugged Western Cape terrain. Riders from around the globe face intense climbs, technical descents, and extreme weather — it’s a true test of skill and endurance.

Pre-Race Collection

• Bike collection takes place +/- 3days before the event as per collection and delivery schedule specified on the Booking page
• Drop or Free home collecction off your bike at your selected location and time slot before close of business (COB).
• Exact times and updates will be shared via the event WhatsApp group.

Delivery to the Cape Epic

• Bikes will be delivered to the race village 1 day before the event starts.
• We’ll confirm delivery and pickup details via WhatsApp closer to the event.

Post-Race Return

• After the Race, bikes will be collected at the bike transporters area .
• Return delivery will be completed as specified on your booking after the event, depending on your region.
• WhatsApp updates will confirm when your bike is ready for pickup or has been delivered to you home

• Johannesburg – Dunkeld cycles / Free Home collection
• Bloemfontein – Fasttrack cycles / Free Home collection

Important Info

• Bring your ID or driver’s license when collecting your bike.
• Save Fred Hoffmann’s contact: 071 231 2177 – all updates will be via WhatsApp.
• Bikes not collected directly from Fred or delivered to your home will be returned to your closest bike shop listed with Hoffies, where a wash & lube fee may apply.
• Hoffies is comprehensivly Insured during transit to and from the event
• We are not liable for third-party damage or shop handling.
