Terms and Conditions for Bicycle Transport
1. GENERAL OVERVIEW
These Terms and Conditions govern the transportation of bicycles by [Your Company Name] (hereinafter referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”). By booking or utilising our bicycle transport services, you (hereinafter referred to as “client” or “you”) agree to comply with these terms.
2. BOOKINGS & CONFIRMATION
2.1 All bookings must be made through our designated booking platform or customer service line.
2.2 A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment or a deposit, as specified during the booking process.
2.3 Changes to bookings must be requested at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled pickup. Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
3. BICYCLE PREPARATION
3.1 The client is responsible for ensuring their bicycle is adequately prepared for transport, which includes:
- Deflating tires as required.
- Removing accessories such as lights, water bottles, or panniers.
- Folding or detaching parts, if applicable.
3.2 The bicycle must be cleaned prior to transport.
3.3 Any bicycles not properly prepared may be refused transport or may incur additional handling fees.
4. PICKUP & DELIVERY
4.1 Clients must be present at the agreed pickup and delivery locations or designate an authorized representative.
4.2 We are not liable for delays caused by incorrect addresses, unavailability of the client, or unforeseen traffic or weather conditions.
4.3 Any changes to pickup or delivery locations must be communicated at least 24 hours in advance and may incur additional charges.
5. LIABILITY & INSURANCE
5.1 We take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safe transport of bicycles. However, we are not liable for:
- Minor cosmetic damage (e.g., scratches, scuffs).
- Damage due to improper packaging or pre-existing conditions.
5.2 Comprehensive insurance coverage for bicycles during transport is the client’s responsibility.
5.3 Clients are advised to take photographs of their bicycle before transport as proof of its condition.
6. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
6.1 Cancellations must be made at least 15 days prior to the scheduled pickup date to qualify for a refund.
6.2 Cancellations made within 15 days of the pickup date will not be eligible for a refund but will receive a voucher worth 60% of the transport value, valid for 12 months.
6.3 No-shows are non-refundable.
7. PROHIBITED ITEMS
7.1 Only bicycles and their essential parts are permitted for transport. We do not transport:
- Loose items not securely attached to the bicycle.
- Hazardous materials or substances.
8. FORCE MAJEURE
8.1 We are not liable for delays, damages, or non-performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or governmental actions.
9. COMPLAINTS & DISPUTES
9.1 Any complaints must be submitted in writing within 7 days of delivery.
9.2 Disputes will be resolved through mediation. If unresolved, they will be subject to the jurisdiction of [Your Jurisdiction].
10. AMENDMENTS
10.1 We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes.
