Hoffies Bicycle Transport
1. General Overview
These Terms and Conditions govern all bicycle transport services provided by Hoffies Bicycle Transport (hereinafter referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”). By booking or using our services, you (“the client”) agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Bookings & Confirmation
- All bookings must be made via our official booking platform or customer service channels.
- A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment or a deposit, as specified at the time of booking.
- Booking amendments must be requested at least 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time. Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.
3. Bicycle Preparation
Clients are responsible for preparing their bicycles for transport, including:
- Deflating tires as needed
- Removing all accessories (e.g., lights, bottles, panniers)
- Folding or detaching parts if applicable
- Cleaning the bicycle prior to handover
Note: Bicycles that are not properly prepared may be refused or subject to a handling surcharge.
4. Pickup & Delivery
- Clients must be present at the agreed pickup/delivery location or assign an authorized representative (e.g., a participating bicycle shop).
- We are not liable for delays due to incorrect addresses, client no-shows, or unforeseen traffic or weather conditions.
- Changes to pickup or delivery must be communicated at least 24 hours in advance and may incur additional charges.
5. Liability & Insurance
- We take all reasonable steps to ensure the secure transport of your bicycle.
- Bicycles in our possession are fully insured from pickup to return, including transport to and from events.
- During the event, while in your use, the bicycle is under your own responsibility.
- We strongly recommend taking clear photos of your bicycle before handover to document its condition.
6. Event Commitment
We honor all confirmed bookings regardless of the number of bicycles scheduled. You can rely on our presence and commitment at every event.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
- Full refunds are available for cancellations made at least 15 days prior to pickup.
- Cancellations made within 15 days will receive a transferable voucher worth 90% of the original booking value, valid for 3 months.
- No-shows are non-refundable.
8. Prohibited Items
Only bicycles and their essential components may be transported. The following items are strictly prohibited:
- Loose or unattached items
- Hazardous substances or materials
9. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any delays, damages, or service interruptions caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or road closures.
10. Complaints & Disputes
- All complaints must be submitted in writing within 7 days of delivery.
- Disputes will first be addressed through mediation. Unresolved matters will be subject to South African law.
11. Amendments
We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of significant updates.
