The Desert Dash is one of Africa’s most iconic and toughest mountain bike events — a grueling 24-hour, 397 km race from Windhoek to Swakopmund across the vast Namib Desert. Whether you're chasing a solo finish or racing in a team, the last thing you want to worry about is getting your bike across the border. That’s where we come in.

Hoffies provides reliable, cross-border bicycle transport to and from Desert Dash 2025 in Namibia. Your bike stays fully assembled, insured, and race-ready throughout the journey — no boxing, no disassembly, and no surprises.

Pre-Race Planning

• Event Date: December 2025 (Final date TBC)
• Drop-Off at Hubs: 5–7 days before the race (exact dates will be confirmed)
• Windhoek Collection: Your bike will be ready for pickup 1 day before the race at a central location

Post-Race Return

• Finish: Swakopmund, Namibia
• Bike Collection: We collect your bike at the finish line
• Return to SA: Bikes are returned to your original drop-off hub within a few days of the race

Important Info: Cross-Border Transport

We assist you with all customs documentation required for travel to Namibia. You’ll need:

• Copy of your ID or passport
• Proof of bike ownership or purchase
• Completed temporary import/export forms (we will provide and guide you)

• Pretoria – Secure drop-off location
• Johannesburg North – Regional hand-in hub
• Cape Town / Stellenbosch – Western Cape depot
• Bloemfontein – Confirmed partner location
• Durban and Port Elizabeth – On request depending on volume
