Hoffies Bicycle Transport1. General Overview

These Terms and Conditions govern all services provided by Hoffies Bicycle Transport (“Hoffies”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By making a booking or using our services, the client (“you”, “your”) agrees to be bound by these terms.

2. Bookings & Confirmation


Bookings are valid only once full payment has been received and cleared.


All bookings are subject to logistical capacity and operational constraints.


Any booking amendments must be requested in writing and are subject to approval and availability.


Hoffies reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking where necessary for operational or safety reasons.

3. Bicycle Preparation

Clients are responsible for ensuring bicycles are handed over in a transport-ready condition, including:


Bicycle must be mechanically sound and safe to transport


Removal of all loose items and accessories


Reasonable cleanliness to prevent damage to other bicycles

Bicycles not meeting these requirements may be refused or accepted subject to a handling surcharge. Hoffies is not responsible for mechanical failures, pre-existing defects, or weak components.

4. Collection & Delivery


Clients must ensure bicycles are available at the agreed location and time.


Failure to present a bicycle for collection does not qualify for any refund or credit.


Delivery and collection times are estimates and may be affected by traffic, weather, or operational factors.


Hoffies is not liable for delays outside of our reasonable control.

5. Liability & Insurance


Hoffies maintains transit insurance covering bicycles while under our direct care during transport.


Insurance coverage applies strictly between official collection and official handover points.


During the event, all bicycles are under the rider’s own responsibility.


Claims for damage must be supported by clear evidence of condition at handover.

Hoffies shall not be liable for minor cosmetic marks, transport-related wear, mechanical issues, or losses caused by factors beyond reasonable control.

6. Event Commitment

Confirmed bookings secure space within our transport system for a specific event. Hoffies commits to fulfilling all confirmed services subject to force majeure and operational safety considerations.

7. Cancellations, Transfers & Refund Policy


No cash refunds

 will be issued under any circumstances.


Bookings are 

transferable

 provided the transfer request is received more than 

15 days prior to the event

.


Transfers within 

15 days of the event

 are not permitted.


Cancellations received at least 

30 days prior to the event

 qualify for a 

60% coupon

 of the booking value.


Cancellations received less than 

30 days prior to the event

 are non-creditable.


No-shows

 are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.

8. Prohibited Items

Hoffies transports bicycles only. The following items will not be accepted:


Loose or unattached equipment


Hazardous or illegal materials


Items not directly related to bicycle transport

9. Force Majeure

Hoffies shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to accidents, extreme weather, strikes, civil unrest, border delays, or road closures.

10. Claims & Disputes


Any claims must be submitted in writing within 

7 days

 of bicycle handover.


Failure to notify Hoffies within this period constitutes acceptance of delivery condition.


Disputes shall be governed by the laws of South Africa.

11. Amendments

Hoffies reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. The latest published version shall always apply.
